Partners & Supporters

The Will-Grundy Medical Clinic is a free clinic and an example of communities working together to provide health care for our neighbors. WGMC patients receive comprehensive care, from the initial consultation through all necessary treatments and medications. Patients become partners in their health care with education and encouragement from volunteers and staff.

Since 1988, the Clinic has provided medical and dental services valued at at over $100 million. In the last fiscal year, the value of services exceeded $10 million on a half a million dollar budget.

This is only possible because of our volunteers, partners and supporters, including countless individual donors! The following is a non-comprehensive list of our major partnerships and major organizational supports:

Local Hospital Partners

Our three local partners hospitals, support the Clinic through donations and also by providing free services to our patients including lab testing, diagnostic testing and surgeries:

Local Public Health Partnerships

Our partnership with the Will County Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) allows us to more efficiently leverage community resources to care for people in need. As part of a recent federal grant, we are also working with the Will County Health Department and Morning Star Mission to help reduce barriers to health care access, including housing insecurity. The Clinic participates in the Will County MAPP Collaborative, that seeks to reduce adverse health outcomes and improve the quality of life for residents:

United Way Partnerships

The Clinic is a proud United Way partner organization and is supported by local United Way organizations:

State & National Associations

The Clinic is a proud member of both the IAFCC and NAFC, which advocate for and provide resources to free clinics like ours in Illinois and across the country.

Partnerships with Local  Educational Institutions

The Clinic works with local educational institutions, allowing nursing students to gain valuable clinical experience. Educators and professionals at local schools also dedicate their time and expertise volunteering:

Organizational Support

We are generously supported by the following foundations, local businesses, religious organizations and other organizations through monetary donations and in-kind donations:

Our Volunteers

Our work is only possible because of a compassionate network of volunteers who donated over 17,000 hours last fiscal year. This includes over

  • 350 volunteer dental and medical professionals
  • 102 clerical and support volunteers
